Recyclable Paper Butter Tubs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In their commitment to reduce their plastic waste the plant-based butter and spreads company, Upfield<\/em> designed and produced a recyclable and plastic free tub entirely made out of paper. In collaboration with Footprint,<\/em> MCC<\/em> and Pag\u00e8s Group<\/em>, and Esmu<\/em>r, Upfield’s tubs are made of compressed wet paper fibres that are water and oil proof. The paper is sourced from PEFC certified suppliers and uses in mold labelling, resulting in the label and packaging to be made of the same material. No glue is used in the process allowing the packaging to be recycled in local paper streams. The paper-based packaging is expected to also be used in Upfield’s Rama<\/em> and Blueband<\/em> brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
