“If I’m already trying to reduce my plastic consumption as an individual consumer, why shouldn’t I be realistic and remove the millions of plastic containers I have some control over from the equation?” says co-founder and CEO of American ice cream brand Gelato Fiasco, Joshua Davis. The ice cream manufacturer is now using a cardboard ice cream cup certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative for its miniature dessert creations. According to the company, the ice cream cups with their certified coated paper are designed for optimal recycling.
