Snap Pack – Nature Multipack

The “Snap Pack” packaging solution introduced by the Carlsberg Group as part of the “Together Towards ZERO” sustainability program is a glued can multipack that requires no secondary packaging. A specially developed adhesive was developed with the aim of reducing the Group’s global plastic consumption by 1,200 tons per year. The adhesive is strong enough to last from the point of production to the end consumer. Small dots of adhesive on the edges of the cans are intended to create a simple and more environmentally friendly alternative by using less plastic and thus contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions and fossil fuel use. The snap-pack solution is being targeted for the three, four, six and eight packs and is to be introduced in 11 markets in the near future. The aforementioned “Together Towards ZERO” program focuses on four key goals by 2030 in addition to more environmentally friendly packaging: ZERO carbon dioxide emissions, ZERO water wastage, ZERO irresponsible drinking and a ZERO accident culture in all breweries.
