Naturally coated takeaway and snack boxes
Food boxes coated with seaweed
Notpla first appeared on the scene in 2013 with its 100% biodegradable and edible water cup. The young London-based company quickly made a name for itself as a replacement for disposable plastic cups used in marathons. The seaweed-based school bags led to an expanded product line that now also includes lunch and snack boxes.
Each box is made from unbleached FSC-certified virgin fiber board with a 100% natural seaweed coating that makes them leak-proof, water and oil resistant. The boxes are suitable for hot, cold or oily foods and are versatile enough to keep salads, side dishes, pasta and fried foods fresh. After use, the boxes can be composted at home or disposed of via paper recycling.
