Foam from algae
Alginsulate foam
The innovative alginsultate foam, which was developed in an exchange between Graz University of Technology and the Universidad de Magallanes in Chile, shows the natural sea dweller in a new light. The extraction of the algae material is considered environmentally friendly due to the low CO2 emissions during production. In addition, algae is a rapidly renewable raw material. In addition to the wide range of possible applications and the good environmental balance, algae are the focus of the packaging industry primarily because of their simple and cost-effective production.
