Plant based packaging

Paptic Gavia

Paptic Gavia® is not only a sustainable heat-sealable alternative, but also a strong, durable and flexible material that runs exceptionally well on converting lines currently using polymer films. Switching from fossil-based packaging material to a fiber-based Paptic Gavia® does not require investment in new machinery. Paptic Gavia® is made of wood from sustainably managed forests and is also available in FSC® on request. Candy maker Fazer is committed to building a sustainable future. This also includes new packaging solutions. Traditionally, Moomin chocolate drops have been packaged in plastic bags or cardboard boxes, but in line with its sustainability strategy, Fazer is looking for new ways to create a more sustainable future. The chocolate drops are now packaged in the new Paptic Gavia® material made from renewable raw materials.

Paptic also offers other sustainable materials under its Paptic® line.
