AgriPlast

AgriPlast consists of up to 75 % cellulose, which is obtained from regional meadow grass. This is embedded in a thermoplastic matrix, which can be made of recycled materials, PP, PE, PCL or biodegradable plastics. It has a finely grained, natural-looking surface and can be dyed to any color, just like plastic.

The substance is resilient, versatile, easy to process and suitable for both injection molding and extrusion. By combining thermoplastics (e.g. PLA, LDPE or PP) with the natural fiber cellulose, AgriPlast has high dimensional stability at both high and low temperatures. The resistant natural fibers ensure improved abrasion resistance, which reduces wear, especially in mechanical engineering and the construction sector. The material acts as a natural, environmentally friendly fire protection for injection molded parts. Despite its high fiber content, AgriPlast has good flow properties and can be used for thin-walled molded parts.
