The trend toward more regional food continues. Particularly in times of crisis, in times of great uncertainty, people return to the familiar, the regional, the transparent. In the meantime, it is increasingly possible to buy products directly from producers and to do without middlemen – and this is not only more transparent, but also cheaper. Whether it’s eggs, milk, meat or other food products, farms use so-called “regiomats,” or vending machines, in the entrance area of their farms to sell products 24/7. This allows them to offer their products fresh every day, without the costly upkeep of a farm store.
