Conscious Chocolate

After a year of development, the British chocolate manufacturer Conscious Chocolate has succeeded in using compostable and recyclable packaging for its (exclusively vegan) chocolate products. The packaging solution for the Conscious Chocolate bar realized with the manufacturer Qualvis is plastic-free, recyclable, biodegradable and home-compostable. The cardboard cover is fully recyclable according to standard EN 13430 and compostable according to standard EN 13432. Water-based vegetable inks and varnishes are used for printing. The inner packaging is an organic film from NatureFlex, which is based on renewable raw materials (cellulose from sustainably managed plantations) and is certified according to standards that prove both its suitability for home composting and its biodegradability. Conscious Chocolate also uses cartons made from 100% recycled paper for shipping its products.
